Von der Coronakrise sind internationale Studierende finanziell besonders arg betroffen. Für sie fällt nämlich neben den alltäglichen Kosten zum Leben auch pro Semester noch eine Studiengebühr von 1500€ für nicht EU-Bürger an. Deswegen wurde eine Petition an das Landesministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst gestartet, die auch wir vom AStA der HfM Karlsruhe unterstützen, dass die Studiengebühren in Baden-Württemberg für das Sommersemester 2020 ausgesetzt werden sollen.
Especially international students are affected financially by the coronavirus crisis. In addition to the usual living costs, non-EU students have to pay 1500€ per semester as tuition fees.
A petition to the state ministry for science, research and art has been created, to cancel those tuition fees for the summer semester 2020. We, the AStA, support this petition, and we hope you sign it as well.
